God impresses. God constructs. God educates. God provides. God heals. God saves. Everything is all about God. This is our journey in Siloam Valley Institute. When the Lord called us to leave our comfort zone, our plan of building our dream home, our desire to flourish in our practice, our accounts and our all….He offered us a great exchange…our ALL to His ALL. Who would refuse?
The counsel called us to advance the medical missionary work, to train church members to take part in this Christ method of saving souls, to build sanitariums, schools, to put up a center of influence in every city, to learn and be nourished from the garden, to bring Jesus to the byways and highways, to the orphans and the widows, to the poor, lost, weary, sick and sinner like me. To yield to this call is a die to self experience….but was it really hard when I think of what He sacrificed for me?…remember, He gave His all, even His righteousness in exchange for my worthless all and sinfulness.
I smile as I behold the on going construction in this institute, seeing how the missionaries jam together in the unfinished rooms, experiencing family life with my spouse and children in a converted shipping container, savoring every healthy organic produce from the garden, enjoying every morning and evening devotionals with our big family of God’s children, oh I have many reasons to praise God always. The simple life with Christ can give the richest joy the world cannot offer. This time of need for resources to finish the students dormitories, classroom, clinic, offices, kitchen, and the list goes on brought us down on our knees and led us to a closer walk with God.
October 2020 when the LORD allowed us to clear the 3.4-hectare piece of land He entrusted us to start the construction of the pioneer building.
My Father always manifest Himself in many unusual ways and just like Abraham, our part is just to obey, to be willing to sacrifice and He will complete what He had started in us. Its not about the buildings, the projects nor the programs, but its about how God is working in our characters to be molded after our Creator as we trod this journey of faith.
Since then, the LORD faithfully guided us every step of the way. It’s hard to explain how but He just does it. We are not only building establishments here, God is also building our characters and He is in the business of finishing what He has started in us. While He builds, He also supplies. Just like the adlai harvest we had a few months ago to supply for our volunteer missionaries.
Will you be willing to take part in including us in your prayers? We are in need of individuals whom God touches to take portion of this end time calling. The support we seek is not limited only to financial help or personal service but to wait, watch and pray with us until the Holy Spirit will be poured in great measure then many will accept Jesus as the only way to their salvation.
